100% Hardcore. 100% Straight Edge. 100% Latino. Colombian hardcore band Raw Brigade are stating exactly who they are with their new album 100% out Fall 2025 on Flatspot Records.

The band’s story starts in 2016 in Bogotá, Colombia as friends working at a tattoo shop who put together a Youth Of Today cover band for a one off show. After playing together, they figured why not just be a band, and Raw Brigade was formed. The band dropped a demo that year and followed it up with 2018’s Kicking Your Face EP which began garnering them attention on an international scale. 2021 saw the release of the Hardcore Latino EP and Raw Brigade’s first full-length came in 2022 with Aggressive City. With an arsenal of music, the band’s high energy live show went from South and North America to Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia, and they’ll hit the road this fall on shows with Agnostic Front and End It.

Always having a mix of English and Spanish vocals in their tracks, when it came time to record 100% it morphed into recording two versions of the record, one in English and one in Spanish. Vocalist Carlos Chavarriaga wrote and produced it with the help of Avery Field and Connors Jones, recording with Jon Markson at The Animal Farm in New Jersey and Santiago Gonzalez at Sepia Studio in Bogotá, and Mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The eleven tracks burst with aggression through furious vocals, fast-paced riffs, and plenty of two-step mosh parts. Influence from NYHC bands like Outburst and Warzone seeps through, while lyrics tackle everything from straight edge pride to addressing those who are treated unjust from corrupt systems.

On crafting the album Carlos shares:

“We always try to have a general theme for each release, the last one was for our city Bogota and for our experience of being immigrants in another country, the one before that was mostly a Latino pride record. On this one we decide to create a compilation of what we are as people and as a band that’s why the name is 100%. We are a straight edge old-school style hardcore punk band from Colombia/ Latinoamerica influenced by New York Hardcore bands from the 80’s. Lyrics cover everything from political to personal experience as Latinos and as Straight Edge people.”

Offering fuzzy grunge-pop with doses of shimmering synths and emo angst, Ned Russin co-fronted Title Fight before halting in 2018 & Ned began playing music as Glitterer. Now a full band, Glitterer returns with Rationale combining 90s grunge, capital-R riffs a la The Stooges, & a keyboard lead that gives self-depre- cating melodrama., After relying more on synths for the entirely solo, home-recorded Glitterer LP in 2017, he involved collabora- tors on the crunchier Looking Through the Shades in 2019. This trend toward driving indie rock grit with '90s influences contin- ued on 2021's Life Is Not a Lesson and now Rationale.

Jonah Matranga is no stranger to the scene. He has been making music for over 30-Years and has become somewhat of an institution. A prolific artist who is full of ideas and he straddles the line between the underground and the mainstream cusp. Jonah has fronted the bands FAR, NEW END ORIGINAL, and GRATITUDE and has worked with indie labels like Jade Tree to majors such as Atlantic. His music has been noted as influencing many notable bands ranging from Deftones to Blink-182. Simply put, there is no one quite like Jonah.

Throughout his long career, Jonah has always written from the heart and performed in an intimate way that few others have accomplished like he has, after playing almost 4,000 shows. From basements to massive festivals, he brings the same energy with him — a devoted fanbase, raw honesty, and an interest in making every show unique and personal. This has always been the most apparent in Jonah’s solo and collaborative project performing as onelinedrawing. Jonah’s performance as onelinedrawing has always been about connecting with fans in an intimate setting, where he often performed with only his guitar and his R2D2 side kick.

Tenderwild marks the return of ONELINEDRAWING, which is the first time since 2004’s “The Volunteers” (Jade Tree) that Jonah has used the moniker. This album brought together so many friends and fellow musicians that it only felt right to release it as onelinedrawing. Tenderwild is an uplifting journey that was written an inspired during a chaotic time of healing for Jonah. Contrasting between guitar driven rock songs and heartfelt intense ballads, Tenderwild is a collection of some of the best songs Jonah has ever written. The album features guest appearances from many of Jonah’s close friends, such as: Zach Lind (Jimmy Eat World), Jeremy Tappero (Soul Asylum), Norman Brannon (Texas Is The Reason), Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional), John Gutenberger (Far), and Jake Snider (Minus The Bear).

Tenderwild is an expansive and special album that has something for everyone.

“Onelinedrawing, is a diarist at heart, both in his music and in his daily life, and, man, does he ever rip his heart out and show it to you in his songs. A loose, free-roaming approach to confessional songwriting that pushes his music well beyond the normal sad singer/songwriter clichés.” – PITCHFORK

“Will you die with your eyes open?”

Washington D.C.’s NØ MAN is a necessary and much-needed voice in modern hardcore. Formed in 2017, the four-piece punk band has been alchemizing the personal and the political from the jump. Composed of members from Majority Rule, the band’s current aims go hand-in-hand with their past, sonically and thematically.

Their upcoming album Glitter and Spit is the band’s third full-length LP, solidifying their furious hardcore into a weapon of a record. Album opener “Eat My Twin” twists and refracts a mid-tempo riff into a sonic hammer, cracking open the record’s heaviness to come. Singer Maha Shami has fully come into her own as a frontperson, snarling out the most vicious vocals of her career on “Poison Darts.”

As the daughter of refugees, returning home to Palestine included witnessing first-hand the casual atrocities inflicted on her family. Though written before the current conflict’s boiling point, Glitter and Spit synthesizes the 70+ years of systemic violence carried out against Palestine and her own lived experiences. From school teachers and classmates telling her Palestine doesn’t exist, to being humiliated by soldiers at checkpoints when she visited her family, these many moments fuel the album’s lifeblood, coalescing on “Can’t Kill Us All.”

“They want to silence us,” Shami said at a recent benefit show in D.C. “We will be louder. We aren’t fucking going anywhere. Because Palestine will never die.” Glitter and Spit is a much-needed fire of an album, fueled by the anxieties and anger of the now, erupting in a cathartic inferno.

The band’s members Matt Michel (guitar/vocals), Pat Broderick (drums) and Kevin Lamiell (Bass) helped lay the foundation for hardcore and screamo in Majority Rule from 1996 to 2004. Alongside the band, vocalist Maha Shami has been a longtime friend, giving a “cameo” guest vocal performance on Majority Rule’s “Packaged Poison” in 2004. When Majority Rule reunited in 2017 to perform multiple benefit shows, it ignited a desire to keep creating, and no one was better equipped to step in as front person than Shami.

Their energy and spirit have brought them together on tour with bands like Portrayal of Guilt, Darkest Hour, FAIM, Entry and more. In 2023 they collaborated with former tourmates and fellow iconoclasts The HIRS Collective on the song “Sweet Like Candy.” They’ve also contributed to Secret Voice’s (the label of Touche Amore frontman Jeremy Bolm) compilation Balladeers, Redefined.

Glitter and Spit was recorded and mixed by Matthew Michel at Viva Studio, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

Enter, for your enjoyment - whether in auditory delight or abject derision, our collaboration with Iodine Recordings who proudly present (or so we hope) our new EP: Just Can't Hate Enough X 2 - Plus Other Hate Songs.

Just Can't Hate Enough X 2 bridges the gap between Shai Hulud's 2013 album "Reach Beyond The Sun" and whatever the next one will be called. On full lengths we like to write varied songs and broaden our musical parameters; here, we just raged. Short, fast, pissed. More MDC than Opeth, though we love both and sound like neither.

Lyrically, as always, we try to isolate aspects of humanity we find regressive and counterproductive to mass wellbeing; analyzing bits of "profound hatred" we're always spouting off about. The original songs this time around deal with valuing reason, and the negativity often reaped by those who champion uncomfortable truths; the unfortunate and seemingly inevitable hardening of human hearts; and the importance of communication, and how its avoidance breeds contempt.
