BAND SHARES VIDEO FOR TITLE TRACK — WATCH

Southern California's DAYSEEKER — Rory Rodriguez [vocals], Gino Sgambelluri [guitar], Ramone Valerio [bass], and Zac Mayfield [drums] — are thrilled to announce their sixth album Creature In the Black Night.

Produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore), the album is Dayseeker's most immersive and intentional record to date — eerie, cinematic, and threaded with a dark (and sexy) emotional current.

The song is a moody, dreamy anthem and it's everything fans have come to know and love about Dayseeker — stunning and dramatic vocal shifts, Rodriguez's DNA-distinct falsetto, rising sonic tension that escalates and then explodes, and downright pretty melodies co-exist alongside plate-shifting breakdowns.

While not a concept album in the traditional sense, Creature in the Black Night exhibits thematic cohesion, from its shadowy visual identity, Grim Reaper iconography, and ominous atmosphere, to how its songs unfold like chapters. "There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on," Rodriguez explains. "It wasn't planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it." 

Fans expecting a sorrowful descent into depression might be surprised — Creature in the Black Night has sharper edges, heavier riffs, and a newfound sense of clarity. "There was this idea that we'd get more and more commercial over time," Rodriguez says. "But I think the opposite happened — we're riffing more, I'm screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest."

Melbourne, Australia based five piece AWOL are creating hardcore for hardcore’s sake - staking their claim in the genre with their debut album Tear ‘Em To Bits, due out April 26th on Last Ride Records and Flatspot Records. Following 2021’s AWOL EP, the nine songs on Tear ‘Em To Bits build on the band’s monstrous sound, filled with gruff vocals, groove-driven riffs, and meaty breakdowns.

AWOL hit the recording studio in Melbourne over the course of 2023, where the band captured their love of classic hardcore in its purest form on the upcoming Tear ‘Em To Bits. Drawing from bands like Madball and Biohazard, AWOL pack an intense aggression across the record. The lyrics are punishing, covering everything from deception and failed relationships to addressing drug addiction and police brutality.

With Tear ‘Em To Bits, proves that AWOL has earned a seat at the table as one of the most compelling new bands in the genre they love. As the band simply states: “The only goal was to make a good hardcore record that we were proud of and that our friends could get behind.”

Drain - the Santa Cruz, CA-based hardcore band whose energetic live shows have propelled them to peak underground popularity (during a global pandemic) - are ready to break wide open in 2023. COVID lockdown couldn’t stop their 2020 debut, California Cursed, from making waves, and their 2023 follow-up, Living Proof, hit the hardcore scene like a Cali beach during hurricane season -- a torrential classic. Since then, Drain have blazed through hundreds of shows worldwide: headlining festivals, taking their friends and heroes on tour, and even playing arenas with Blink-182. Regardless of whether they're opening for pop-punk jukeboxes like Neck Deep or grabbing the stage-dive torch from Terror, Drain’s only goal is to make the crowd go buckwild.

Santa Cruz hardcore institution Drain dropped “Who’s Having Fun?” off their forthcoming new album …IS YOUR FRIEND, arriving November 7th via Epitaph. “Who’s Having Fun?” is the only track on the album where vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro sings, backed by plenty of shredding, eventually climaxing into Ciaramitaro’s trademark growls. “"Who's Having Fun?" is summertime music written to be played really loud in the car with your friends and the windows down on a beautiful sunny day” Ciaramitaro explains.  “Its what happens when you just write music that makes you feel happy and don't really care about fitting into a box or meeting someone else's genre criteria. DRAIN is gonna do whatever the hell we want. This was the first song that we wrote for this album - it started out as a pretty barebones punk rock song, but we kept adding little moments and flare and all the sudden we turned it into a badass song that truly encapsulates everything that DRAIN is. This song can be about whatever you want it to be - but I think when looking for the truth in life, a good rule of thumb is to ask yourself: Who's Having Fun? Hopefully it's you.”

Pushing every boundary to a breaking point, GRIDIRON will go to any extreme and then some. They follow quite possibly the most unpredictable playbook in the game. The band might flood the zone with a corpsepaint-smearing death metal barrage only to double back around for a victory lap narrated by blinged-out and braggadocios bars. Their hybridization of metal, hardcore, and hip-hop wouldn’t be out of place at either OZZfest 1997 or Rolling Loud 2027.

It’s why the quintet—Matthew Karll [vocals], Will Kaelin [guitar, vocals], Xavier Wilson [guitar], Lennon Livesay [bass], and Tyler Mullen [drums]—have bulldozed their own path as a phenomenon with millions of streams and acclaim from Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, NO ECHO, and more. GRIDIRON was born out of a series of COVID-era marathon Call of Duty sessions, which led to writing and recording together. Their musical pedigree spoke for itself with Will also in Never Ending Game, Xavier in Simulakra, and Tyler and Lennon in Scarab. Given their individual experiences, the guys instantly locked into a creative groove. Following the Loyalty At All Costs EP [2020] and Worldwide Brotherhood EP [2021], they dropped their first full-length, No Good At Goodbyes [2022]. The title track reeled in over 851K Spotify streams followed by '25-8' with 560K Spotify streams.

Along the way, they also shared stages with everyone from Missing Link to Trapped Under Ice. Now, GRIDIRON continue to smash through walls on their second full-length offering and Blue Grape Music debut, Poetry From Pain.
