Returning from obscurity in 2026, Mountain Wizard Death Cult harden their resolvewith the release of VITRIFY - the first body of work for a reborn MWDC. Reminiscentof their roots in atmospheric Sludge & Post-Metal but brandishing new dynamics,coherence and emotion, VITRIFY meditates on pain into claimed power with a numbcorrosive edge.The Western Sydney/Blue Mountains based riff merchants formed in 2018 & foundthemselves re-creating their sound with a change of vocalist, Elliott Smith, in 2024.Their first material written as this incarnation was recorded with familiar friends of theband, whilst final mixing & mastering was helmed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool,Sunk Loto, The Butterfly Effect) breathing new life into their sound.
