New Bedford, Massachusetts’ trailblazers in A WILHELM SCREAM are back with their sixth full-length studio LP, “Cheap Heat”, out February 27th via Creator-Destructor Records.  The band has premiered the debut single off the album with an official video to accompany the track. Check out “Midnight Ghost” (directed by Mike Rivkees) on YouTube and streaming everywhere now.

Just over three years after their last LP, “Lose Your Delusion” (2022), the band have come out the gate swingin’ harder than ever with ten tracks of adrenaline fueled melodic hardcore / punk rock.  Combining the dark nihilistic mood of the band’s classic 2005 album “Ruiner” with the technicality, ferocity, and sharp precision of 2007’s monumental “Career Suicide”, the new full-length record is a unique hybrid of the darker, more aggressive elements of the band’s sound.  Vocalist Nuno Pereira states “This record, and the process of recording it, are both a testament to and a celebration of the firepower and dedication our band has for our music. It has vitriolic energy behind every vocal, soaring guitars relentlessly shredding, and that sinister tongue in cheek shit we specialize in. This will go down as our best work to date. Guaranteed.“

Never bowing to trends, riding anyone’s waves, never breaking up and getting back together again, the New Bedford five piece are back with an absolute ass-kicker of a new album to bask in their glory of 25+ years holding it down on their own terms. There’s no one quite like A Wilhelm Scream - An amalgamation of punk rock, metal, and hardcore, the band has always been an island of their own, since forever. The underdogs that can’t be killed.  Unapologetic in their delivery, “Cheap Heat” reminds the music world that no one does it like the boys from New Beige.

“Cheap Heat” was produced and mixed by the band’s own guitarist/vocalist Trevor Reilly at Anchor End Studio in New Bedford, Massachusetts, with mastering handled by his father Joe Reilly at Black & Blue Mastering. The new album also marks the first for the band’s newest member, Ben Murray (Light This City, Heartsounds, Darkness Everywhere) on second guitar.

Throughout the ten crushing tracks that make up “Cheap Heat”, the vibe is abundantly clear - Non-stop riffs, soaring hooks,  an unrelenting and incomparable rhythm section, and more piss and vinegar than ever before.  Taking dominance over the West Coast style of melodic punk music that originally shaped the band’s sound, A Wilhelm Scream inject their cold-as-ice New England approach in their lyrical content and musical compositions.  As some of the last real ones from that era left with the fire still burning inside them, A Wilhelm Scream aren’t stopping anytime soon.  “Cheap Heat” is a testament to the venom and spirit of the band - Clocking in at just under 30 minutes, the new album doesn’t overstay its welcome.  A straight to the point street delivery of moody existentialism, like the band has always done.

Northlane's seventh album, Anemoia, is out November 27th. Executive produced by Jordan Fish, the idea for Anemoia was sparked by a mind-altering set from UK producer and DJ Evian Christ, which inspired songwriter/guitarist Jon Deiley to explore how trance - in all its emotional intensity and physical scale - could work naturally with guitars and the catharsis of heavy music. Throughout the album, Northlane’s hallmark electronic metal takes on many forms, shapeshifting through euphoric trance, seismic breakdowns, brain-bending grooves, drum-and-bass, jungle and pop, coalescing into Northlane’s own sonic singularity.

Note: This is a pre-order item with a release date of November 27th. Anything else purchased in the same order will not ship until this is in stock.

In 2008, Have A Nice Life released their now cult classic Deathconsciousness LP to a whimper and critical non-interest. Six years after its release the band followed up with 2014′s stunner The Unnatural World, and by then Deathconsciousness had become a force of influence and fanatic obsession. Seamlessly blending shoegaze, post punk, new wave, industrial and noise with unparalleled depth and weight, the album was originally released by Enemies List Home Recordings founded by HANL members Dan and Tim. Now, longtime HANL collaborator The Flenser will re-issue Deathconsciousness with deluxe packaging, including the lengthy accompanying zine and colored vinyl. Have A Nice Life commented, “Working with Flenser lets us keep things comfortable on our end, while also pressing enough copies to actually meet the need and not creating an artificially-inflated collector’s market, as happened with some of our past releases.”

The Flenser’s reissue of Deathconsciousness will be accompanied by a 75-page booklet detailing the dark and forgotten history of the Antiochean cult. Blurring the lines between novella, liner notes, and academic text, the zine itself presents an engrossing narrative. The album is rhythmic, primal and expansive and is a gloomy-post-punk masterpiece; a mediation on death, loss and unrequited love. Deathconsciousness feels more fresh and engaging with every listen and has held up as a remarkable piece of art. Fans of Have A Nice Life exhibit both cultic thought and action for good reason. It is perhaps a fanbase as dark and mysterious as the Antiochean’s, the album itself revolves around. Now The Flenser is honored to rerelease Deathconsciousness a gorgeous and disarming contribution to the modern lexicon for a larger audience.

Southern California's DAYSEEKER — Rory Rodriguez [vocals], Gino Sgambelluri [guitar], Ramone Valerio [bass], and Zac Mayfield [drums] — are thrilled to announce their sixth album Creature In the Black Night.

Produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore), the album is Dayseeker's most immersive and intentional record to date — eerie, cinematic, and threaded with a dark (and sexy) emotional current.

The song is a moody, dreamy anthem and it's everything fans have come to know and love about Dayseeker — stunning and dramatic vocal shifts, Rodriguez's DNA-distinct falsetto, rising sonic tension that escalates and then explodes, and downright pretty melodies co-exist alongside plate-shifting breakdowns.

While not a concept album in the traditional sense, Creature in the Black Night exhibits thematic cohesion, from its shadowy visual identity, Grim Reaper iconography, and ominous atmosphere, to how its songs unfold like chapters. "There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on," Rodriguez explains. "It wasn't planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it."

Fans expecting a sorrowful descent into depression might be surprised — Creature in the Black Night has sharper edges, heavier riffs, and a newfound sense of clarity. "There was this idea that we'd get more and more commercial over time," Rodriguez says. "But I think the opposite happened — we're riffing more, I'm screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest."
