Returning from obscurity in 2026, Mountain Wizard Death Cult harden their resolve
with the release of VITRIFY - the first body of work for a reborn MWDC. Reminiscent
of their roots in atmospheric Sludge & Post-Metal but brandishing new dynamics,
coherence and emotion, VITRIFY meditates on pain into claimed power with a numb
corrosive edge.
The Western Sydney/Blue Mountains based riff merchants formed in 2018 & found
themselves re-creating their sound with a change of vocalist, Elliott Smith, in 2024.
Their first material written as this incarnation was recorded with familiar friends of the
band, whilst final mixing & mastering was helmed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool,
Sunk Loto, The Butterfly Effect) breathing new life into their sound.

“Splinter the heart. Gather the shards. With open arms, take the pain. Within your
stride” VITRIFY releases everywhere Friday 13th March 2026.

Track List:

  1. Cornered
  2. Ash into Glass
  3. Luminar

These mock ups are digital representations of what we expect the final product to look like - however they do not represent the final product. Final vinyl pressings may look slightly different.
