Kristen Larsen's Story
Kristen Larsen was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at age 21 and passed away in December 2019. During her fight to survive, Kristen became a fierce advocate to raise awareness of the disease and funding for research. Kristen documented her efforts through Ovarshare.com including the Ovarshare podcast. All proceeds will go directly to “Kristen’s Living Legacy” to help fund research into the cancer that took Kristen’s life. It was her wish that people could continue to honour her life through Kristen’s Living Legacy. Thank you for your support!
The type of Ovarian Cancer Kristen had typically affects younger women, and 85% will not survive. There is no early detection test- the pap smear cannot detect it, nor can the Gardasil vaccine prevent it. The only way to be diagnosed early is to recognise the subtle symptoms of: bloating, feeling full quickly after eating, changes in urinary or bowel habits, fatigue or pain.”
